For Nurses

Treating cancer is a lengthy and complicated endeavor. While we are grateful for the scientific research that has made Herceptin (trastuzumab) the standard of care for women with HER2+ breast cancer, we are compelled to constantly give thanks to the day to day care that our oncology nurses perform.

Oncology nurses are on the front lines of treatment for women who have to receive regular infusions over the course of a year. Their knowledge and support keep many women compliant with their treatments. That's why we've created this special section just for nurses.

Here, you can learn about a few programs and other materials created to help you and your patients.

  • Nurse Education Program
  • Enhance your knowledge and your ability to care for breast cancer patients. Attend many different kinds of informational programs led by a Genentech Advanced Practice Nurse. Also known as Oncology Clinical Coordinators (OCC).
  • TLC Nurse Program (Teach, Learn and Communicate)
  • Find out about dinner programs in your area. Attend a nurse speaker bureau, where a non-Genentech key opinion leader will speak to an all nurse audience about Herceptin.
  • Nurse Patient Materials
  • Here you can find a number of useful resources for you and your patients.
